Welcome Monsoon

It comes every year, punctual as a Swiss clock. For many it comes as a gift, especially after the torrid months of April and May. It’s the Monsoon that starts from the southeast in Tamil Nadu and Kerala at the end of May, and by the first week of June is already in Mumbai. Suddenly the sky gets dark and tons of water fall in a few minutes.
Lots of places get flooded and many people can loose goods and face serious problems. For others, instead, the water brought by the monsoon is an opportunity. Many take advantage of this moment to sell plastic sheets or umbrellas or plastic bags to protect mobiles phones; others get employed by private companies to clean what the sea is bringing back to the city or just to free from rubbish the open getaway of the water on the side of the streets. For many this is the time to visit holy places as temperature drops down, but basically for Indians it is time to enjoy the water. Welcome Monsoon.
